I wouldn&#8217;t know some of my dearest friends if not for our build and the wonderful server that has hosted us these past several years. I hope you&#8217;ll indulge me in a little walk through memory lane.</p> <p>Townstuck started off very simply. Walking through the town, it&#8217;s easy to see the projects that were built early on, and what came later when we had become more confident and even cocky about building large projects. For example, the version of Terezi&#8217;s tree-hive seen in the video was a replacement for this, one of the first things we set down on the new map:</p> <p><img alt="image" src="http://media.tumblr.com/b96dcdefe708164529b59f0c9b3c16a4/tumblr_inline_mn2srjqUyq1qz4rgp.png"/></p> <p><img alt="image" src="http://media.tumblr.com/e5b57eb3a6ef1b0791b4840505a977f8/tumblr_inline_mn2ss3Nncx1qz4rgp.png"/></p> <p>Because we began building on Beta 1.8, animals could not be led by wheat, sheep did not regrow wool and they could not be bred. Trying to build such a wool-heavy map was a pretty bold move when you had to travel onto the plains, fighting off monsters and starvation to find the rare sheep to shear &#8212; sheep that <em>everyone</em> on the server was looking for. Our major pet-project, the black and white checkerboard piece of Skaia, took <em>months</em> of scavenging and trading to build, and could only be fully completed after the breeding update.</p> <p><img alt="image" src="http://media.tumblr.com/5bc8a55f96ec721df9f447d2b51cf225/tumblr_inline_mn2szn57tF1qz4rgp.png"/></p> <p>We had some really wonderful moral support from our server-mates though. I cannot thank them all enough!
